Interaction
with African students
A first year student, Ms. Badra Saibu Ali from
Madagascar and the Comoros said she chose to study traditional Chinese medicine
as a result of inspiration from her uncle who was a practitioner.
Her colleague from Cameroon, Ms. Vanessa Kenfack,
who has also just begun her five-year Bachelors Degree course in Chinese
medicine, said she chose Nanjing University to study the Chinese culture and
medicine because she saw it as one of the best Chinese universities offering
courses in Chinese medicine.
“Because you know in China they have long life
expectancy than Africans so I want to discover what is behind that,” she revealed
to the Daily Graphic.
