The Upper West Regional Minister, Alhaji  Issahaku Saliah,  has commended Zoomlion Ghana Limited  for the good work it is doing in the Upper West Region to  promote the health of the people.
He said Zoomlion and the government of Ghana are working towards the same objective of improving the sanitation situation in the country and has therefore called on residents of Wa including the Muslim community, to help keep the country clean and healthy.
The Minister was speaking at the Wa Central Mosque last Friday when Zoomlion’s Public Education Campaign in Muslim communities reached that region.

“Whenever we clean, we should have it in mind that we are cleaning for our own good, as filth brings diseases such as  cholera,” he said adding,  “we will  ensure  to get on board all stakeholders to improve upon the sanitation situation in the region.”
On his part, the Islamic Educationist and Theologian Sheik Ishak Nuamah said Zoomlion’s vision is inextricably intertwined with the vision of Islam and thus charged the people living in the Zongo communities to make the teachings of Islam manifest in their everyday life, encouraging them to keep their surroundings clean since action speaks louder than words.
The Upper West Regional Manager of Zoomlion, Mr. Emmanuel Volsuuri, commended the people for their immense support and utmost cooperation with the work of Zoomlion in the region. He said the company in its quest to attain a clean and green environment has introduced a number of activities in the region, including door to door services, landscaping and beautification services among others.
He also appealed to the people to be ambassadors of Zoomlion, in order to carry the message of cleanliness to other people.
Zoomlion Ghana Limited as part of its campaign to rid the nation of filth, has organised series of public education programmes in Islamic communities, with the Upper West Region being the eighth region.
