Nokia Windows phone wins award in the U.S

Nokia, a leading  manufacturer of mobile phones and telecommunications devices, has won the prestigious “Best Smartphone” award from technology site CNET, at the just ended International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, United States of America.
The mobile phone manufacturer won the award with its newly launched windows smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 900.
In addition to the Nokia Lumia 900 launch for AT&T’s 4G LTE network, the Nokia Lumia 710 went on sale at all T-Mobile stores while Microsoft said it will sell the Nokia Lumia 800 in all its retail stores.
For its part, mobile phone device dealer, Rogers, in Canada,  said it will carry the Nokia Lumia 710, while TELUS another dealer, said it will sell the Nokia Lumia 800.
The buzz around Nokia’s return to the international electronics show, was clearly seen in Las Vegas where only standing room remained at a packed press conference and media had to be turned away, while there was seen enthusiastic customer meetings and a non-stop flow of visitors to the Nokia booth.
In the limelight in Vegas, known for its glitz, glamour and headline acts, was the Nokia Lumia 900, which did not disappoint.
Nokia’s renowned Bright AMOLED Clear Black display with toughened glass stretching to the sides of the phone is what catches the eyes in the first contact. The Back, Start and Search buttons on the front of the screen are set in the glass on the front, with an eight-megapixel auto-focus camera with Carl Zeiss optics on the back.
Current statistics show that more than 1.3 billion people connect to one another with a Nokia, from its voice-optimized mobile phones to advanced Internet-connected smartphones all across the world.
